Big shout out to my man Big Al!
He left a comment about what I thought of Hellboy: The Golden Army, and I responded but for the life of me I have no idea where his post or my comments went.
Sucked into the great beyond thanks to crappy "technology" is my guess.
Anyway, just wanted to give him a big shout out, tell him it was great to see him at the movies and to drop by here and comment more often! It’s gamers and friends like he and the rest of you that keep me going and creating and writing the adventures of Raptor Squad (and yeah, that even applies to folks who don’t comment or come around too often. But I know you’re still out there reading-and hopefully –enjoying!)
(Sorry I missed you Mike, Big Al said you were on the way and I kept an eye out but didn’t see you before we went in to see the flick.)
Oh, and for the record? Update coming…hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks.

Nope I responded and everything man, but like I said, I have NO idea where it went...I thought I published it but heck, who knows what happens when interweb gremlins go lurking about?
Basically I just said I thought a sequel to Hellboy would be likely only based on how well Golden Army did...there certainly seems to be a fan base now, and I liked Golden Army, very visual and a pretty good story...I'm not sure what kind of numbers it's racked up yet, but I could definitely see a sequel given how well comic book films have been doing lately.
Oh, and the update! Ah yeah....
Working on that right as we speak. It's a few weeks out, just polishing the fiction and wrapping up the art side of things...it's going to be sizeable....
And the second book (Where Xan gets introduced) is already done....just needs the rough draft polished but it's ready to go...so that should hit sometime in October...maybe wrap all of it up by the end of the year if I'm lucky...but I think it will be worth the wait. Hope you guys do too!

As far as Hellboy II: The Golden Army, it was made for $85 milliom, and has grossed $98 million worldwide. This movie got made on the strength of the first movie's DVD sales... so we could see a sequel. It will probably be awhile because del Toro is preparing to make The Hobbit with Peter Jackson.
Bob, the fiction is well worth the wait because of how good it is, and I cannot wait to see all the members introduced!!

Yeah, I'm interested in seeing what Del Toro does with the Hobbit...should be interesting. I've got this ritual of reading the book once every year around the middle of Fall....dates back to when I was in high school...it's a great book and a lot of fun to read...good stuff.
Thanks for the kind words about the fiction man! I really dig writing it and hope folks still get a charge out of reading it! There is some good stuff on the way and I think with each story the characters grow more rich and their story more interesting. At least thats how I try to put it together....it gets hard trying to string things together to make it all run smooth but I think it;s worth it.
