Seven Years

As of this month, my RPG campaign page Raptorsquad.net is celebrating its seventh year on the web. It’s always a struggle to introduce new and interesting items and content to keep people visiting and coming back, though to be honest much of the enjoyment comes from developing a cool idea and seeing it through.

Anyway, this blog represents such an idea. In looking at our page, I realize that there is a lot of history and character present, but no real “voice”. Besides an update ever several months that more or less just points visitors to new content on the page, there really isn’t much contact between those behind the site and those who visit. In most cases I’m sure this serves most folks just fine, but for me, I would like to give a little more, to offer it to those who at least have a passing interest in what goes into creating Raptorsquad.Net and the story behind the gamers and some of the events that took place around our table. I will also be tossing in some of my own personal thoughts on gaming and life in general, to, if nothing else, fill up space.

Why am I doing this you ask? Am I hoping to impart some wisdom or knowledge from my many years of gaming or am I looking to pass on some of my life experience to help the younger generation avoid some of the pitfalls on their journey through life? Or, did my company block my internet access and I can’t surf for porn any more?
